Role Overview
In this pivotal position, you will oversee all aspects of VAT and Indirect Tax compliance and reporting for the organization’s global operations, directly reporting to the Finance Director. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the precise and timely submission of VAT returns for domestic entities.
  • Supervising the accurate and timely submission of VAT returns through external providers for international entities.
  • Collaborating with local external accountants regarding any indirect tax inquiries.
  • Identifying and assessing key Indirect Tax risks, ensuring robust risk management practices are in place.
  • Effectively communicating significant VAT matters to non-tax professionals and driving necessary process enhancements to optimize the indirect tax framework.
  • Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and staying informed about changes in indirect tax legislation that impact operations.
  • Providing guidance and oversight to one team member to ensure ongoing development and quality of work.
  • Cultivating a solid commercial understanding of Recruitment Services.

Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A recognized finance qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA, etc.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in indirect taxation, acquired from industry, a reputable firm, or tax authority.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of indirect tax legislation and forthcoming regulatory changes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various IT systems, including Excel.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with experience in managing team members.
