About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SHE Manager to join our site leadership team at Newark Desserts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving a culture of health and safety on site and leading the environmental agenda.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a culture of continuous improvement through effective engagement of the workforce, with a focus on health and safety and best environmental practice.
  • Create and execute a behavioural safety program through mentoring, coaching, and supporting front-line teams.
  • Develop and implement site SHE strategies to enable delivery of a proactive SHE culture across the entire site.
  • Manage and lead the SHE Advisor to ensure effective performance.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and environment legal requirements, policies, standards, and procedures are interpreted, communicated, documented, and systems exist to ensure compliance.

About You:

  • NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma or equivalent level 5 or 6 qualification in H&S & Environment.
  • Chartered member of IOSH and engineering background/engineering knowledge is advantageous.
  • Leadership experience working for an organization with a large number of employees.
  • Experience in a health and safety role.
  • Passionate about SHE and ability to influence at a senior level and champion change/implementation at all levels.
