Due to project growth the position of **Environmental Advisor **has become available to join our **Cadent Framework**, based in the **Peterborough** area***

Cadent is the UK’s largest Gas Distribution Company owning and operating four of the eight UK Gas Distribution Networks across the East of England, London, Northwest and West Midlands; spanning over 131,000 kilometres of pipes. Cadent transport gas safely and reliably to 11 million homes across their networks and operate the Gas Emergency Helpline for the whole of the UK.

Costain is appointed as the Construction Management Organisation to manage the planning and delivery of the annual network investment programme for the East of England Network, which ranges from Sheffield to Outer London and from the M1 to the North Sea Coast.

This role will be hybrid, with at least 3 days on site

**Role Requirements**
- Environmental experience and related degree & IEMA Associate Qualification or equivalent NVQ
- Understand the Company Health & Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures and statutory requirements as they affect the Project operations and ensure that the requirements are implemented
- Assist in providing operational and functional management with advice on the prevention of accidents, ill health, environmental incidents and the practical implementation of the company’s SHE policies
- Assist in providing operational and functional management with advice for obtaining legal consents, licences and exemptions such as discharge consents, abstraction licences and waste management licences
- Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive
- Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way
- Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs
