Barnardo's Phoenix Support Service is seeking a dedicated Trauma Recovery Practitioner to make a profound difference in the lives of vulnerable young people within Swindon and Wiltshire.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to provide vital stabilization and support to children and adolescents who have experienced sexual violence or abuse. You will work closely with our team of specialist counselors, delivering both short-term and medium-term interventions tailored to each individual's needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct direct, face-to-face sessions with young people who have experienced sexual violence or abuse.
  • Deliver individualized 1:1 interventions focused on stabilization and healing.
  • Provide expert consultation to parents, caregivers, and professionals involved in the young person's care.
  • Collaborate effectively with multi-agency partners to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
