What Is the Role?

We are seeking a Senior Operations Associate in Syndicate Management to enhance our team based in London.

In this role, you will be essential in providing support to our Underwriters and broader teams. Your knowledge of London Market Underwriting or Operations will be crucial in propelling our success. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in dynamic environments and are keen to engage with complex challenges, contribute to projects, and aid in our ongoing development.

Travelers Europe offers flexible work arrangements, allowing employees to work in a hybrid model. Additionally, this position includes a new joiner bonus, and if referred by a current employee, both you and the referrer may qualify for this incentive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct data enhancement, importation, and geocoding of location-specific risk data.
  • Evaluate and oversee receipts for Schedules of Values and Bordereaux.
  • Prepare underwriting and pricing documents in the Benchmark Pricing (BMP) Tool for Underwriting pre-bind loading.
  • Assist Underwriters with their renewal portfolios and collaborate with catastrophe risk modeling and other departments.
  • Complete Front Sheets in preparation for Risk Entry and advance preparation of Null Decs prior to offshore entry.
  • Support the creation of reports for GAAP, RDS, Pre Integrity, and Housekeeping meetings.
  • Contribute to the month-end close process and aggregate 'Roll Up' activities.
  • Facilitate training for the Offshore team and assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from offshore operations.
  • Perform quality assurance on work completed by both onshore and offshore team members, particularly in BMP and Aggregate completion.
  • Meet or exceed established timeliness and accuracy service level agreements within the Syndicate.
  • Uphold ethical standards and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Familiarity with systems change and project processes.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
  • Proficient in using a variety of applications.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Completion of Certificate CII is preferred.

Essential Requirements

  • Education equivalent to GCSE level or higher.
  • Prior experience in a similar position within the insurance sector.
