Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Syndicate Operations Associate to enhance our operations in London.

In this role, you will be essential in supporting our Underwriters and broader teams. Your knowledge of London Market Underwriting or Operations will be crucial in driving our objectives. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in dynamic settings and are enthusiastic about addressing complex issues, contributing to projects, and aiding our ongoing development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct data enrichment, importation, and geocoding of location-specific risk data.
  • Analyze and oversee receipts for Schedules of Values and Bordereaux.
  • Prepare underwriting and pricing presentations using the Benchmark Pricing (BMP) Tool for Underwriting pre-bind.
  • Assist Underwriters with their renewal portfolios and collaborate with catastrophe risk modeling and other departments.
  • Complete Front Sheets for Risk Entry and prepare Null Decs prior to offshore entry.
  • Support the preparation of reports for GAAP, RDS, Pre Integrity, and Housekeeping meetings.
  • Contribute to the month-end close process and aggregate 'Roll Up.'
  • Facilitate training for the Offshore team and assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from offshore operations.
  • Ensure quality assurance of work performed by onshore and offshore team members, particularly in BMP and Aggregate completion.
  • Meet or exceed established timeliness and accuracy service level agreements within the Syndicate.
  • Act ethically at all times and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Familiarity with systems change and project processes.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
  • Proficient in utilizing various applications.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Completion of Certificate CII is preferred.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education at GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the insurance sector.
