1What Is the Opportunity?
We are seeking a Senior Syndicate Operations Associate to enhance our team in London.
In this role, you will be crucial in assisting our Underwriters and broader teams. Your proficiency in London Market Underwriting or Operations will be vital for our success. This position is tailored for individuals who excel in dynamic settings and are keen to address intricate challenges, contribute to projects, and support our ongoing development.
Travelers Europe offers flexible working arrangements in line with our Hybrid Work Policy. Additionally, this position includes a new joiner bonus, and if referred by a current employee, both you and the referrer may qualify for this incentive.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data enhancement, importation, and geocoding of location-specific risk data.
- Evaluate and oversee receipts for Schedules of Values and Bordereaux.
- Prepare underwriting and pricing presentations using the Benchmark Pricing (BMP) Tool for Underwriting pre-bind.
- Assist Underwriters with their renewal portfolios and collaborate with catastrophe risk modeling and other departments.
- Complete Front Sheets in preparation for Risk Entry and Null Decs prior to offshore entry.
- Help compile reports for GAAP, RDS, Pre Integrity, and Housekeeping meetings.
- Contribute to dummy and actual month-end closing and aggregate 'Roll Up.'
- Facilitate training for the Offshore team and assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures as necessary.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from offshore operations.
- Perform quality assurance on work completed by onshore and offshore team members, particularly in BMP and Aggregate completion.
- Meet or exceed established timeliness and accuracy service level agreements within the Syndicate.
- Act ethically at all times and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Familiarity with systems change and project management processes.
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
- Comfortable utilizing a variety of applications.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Completion of Certificate CII is preferred.
Essential Qualifications
- Education at GCSE level or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a similar capacity within the insurance sector.
