About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Underwriting Manager to lead our Mid-Market Team in Central London. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for guiding a team of underwriters to deliver exceptional customer service, drive profitable growth, and improve capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of underwriters to achieve business objectives and deliver high-quality results
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to drive growth and improve profitability
  • Collaborate with senior underwriters to ensure effective team management and performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure the team remains competitive
Requirements
  • Proven experience in underwriting, preferably in a leadership role
  • Strong leadership and people skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
