Carbon Underwriting Limited is a specialist, independent class-agnostic managing general underwriter (MGU) and Lloyd's syndicate. We operate as an underwriting and data lead with a keen focus on coverholder partnerships in the property, casualty, financial lines, and specialty sectors across several territories, including Europe, Australia, and Canada.

We are supported by our proprietary platform, Graphene, which presents underwriters and coverholders with superior data that motivates profitable and informed underwriting decisions.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Pricing Analyst Senior to play a key role in achieving our ambitious goals by providing vital administrative support. As a data lead organisation in growth mode, we are looking for someone who wants to contribute beyond just their job description and who wants to be heard.

The Role

As a Pricing Analyst Senior, you will be responsible for:

  • Validating loss ratios on new and renewal accounts
  • Ensuring accuracy of data within our pricing platform
  • Validating and supporting underwriting actions to improve the profitability of accounts
  • Attending Broker/Coverholder meetings for any actuarial input required
  • Supporting the Graphene team with actuarial methodology to enable the development of account monitoring and analysis
  • Project work to enhance our pricing process
  • Supporting Lloyd's reporting requirements
  • Development of Open Market pricing tools
  • Mentoring junior staff members (subject to experience)
