About the Role

Harcourt Matthews Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the global pricing advice to Partners, providing commercial insights and challenging in a lead advisory capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finance Business Partner - Pricing & Analysis: Act as the Finance Business Partner - Pricing & Analysis, supporting financial aspects of the client/customer pricing & fee deal process, ensuring buy-in from all stakeholders.
  • Manage Financial Aspects of Client Global Fee Deal Processes: Manage financial aspects of client global fee deal processes, providing commercial insights and challenging in a lead advisory capacity.
  • Produce Bespoke Financial Modelling: Produce bespoke financial modelling to support Pricing Managers, Finance Directors and Marketing teams in relation to pricing and financial issues for fee deal proposals.
  • Perform Mid-Term Reviews: Perform mid-term reviews of existing commercial arrangements and escalate cases of non-compliance or where actual recoveries differ from that modelled in fee negotiations.
  • Develop Best Practice Reports: Develop best practice reports and create visualisations in Tableau, highlighting trends in pricing and sharing with the global pricing network and throughout the firm.
  • Provide Ad-Hoc and Planned Matter Pricing Support: Provide ad-hoc and planned matter pricing support to fee earners, including delivery of presentations, demonstrating how Pricing tools work, and pricing live matters.
Requirements
  • Solid Financial Acumen: Solid financial acumen gained via numerate degree and/or as a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Exposure to Pricing in a Service Business: Exposure to pricing in a service business - individuals from accounting, consulting, legal or other professional service backgrounds would be preferred but all sectors will be considered.
  • Strong Financial Modelling and Data Manipulation Skills: Strong financial modelling and data manipulation skills.
  • High Degree of Commercial Acumen: A high degree of commercial acumen to provide advice and training to senior decision makers.
  • Proactive and Forward-Thinking Individual: Proactive, forward-thinking individual who is determined and committed to challenging the status quo to improve pricing strategy and operations.
  • Highly Proactive/Self-Motivated by Nature: Highly proactive/self-motivated by nature.
  • Experience Working with Data Visualisation Tools: Experience working with Tableau, Power BI or other data visualisation tools would be advantageous.
