Warehouse Operations Manager - Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring the safe receipt and storage of goods, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management: Develop and implement effective inventory control systems to minimize stock discrepancies and optimize storage capacity.
  2. Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  3. Warehouse Operations: Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
  4. Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and warehouse operations to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong background in warehouse operations and inventory management. Experience in a similar role, preferably in a research council or academic institution, is highly desirable.
