Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with experience in implementing clinical governance principles and quality improvement. The successful candidate will deliver a range of support focused on the design, development, and implementation of assurance processes within the organization. This includes coordinating and supporting internal/external inspections, delivering a robust process to provide oversight of clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures, and contributing to the delivery of the NHSAA Quality Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and supporting internal/external inspections to ensure compliance with national standards and guidelines.
  • Developing and implementing assurance processes to provide oversight of clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Contributing to the delivery of the NHSAA Quality Strategy.
  • Working collaboratively with the Clinical and Care Governance Unit to design, develop, and implement quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

Educated to degree level with postgraduate study to masters level or equivalent experience.Expert-level improvement qualification such as IHI Development Programme, Improvement Advisor, Scottish Improvement Leader Qualification, Lean Green belt or above, QiiPs 1st for Leaders.In-depth knowledge and demonstrable evidence of using improvement methodologies to drive sustainable change and improvement.Good working knowledge of national standards and guidelines.

Working Hours

The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week. From 1 April 2024, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
