Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Endocrinology Nurse Specialist to join our team at University Hospital Crosshouse. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide expert care and education to patients with endocrine conditions, working collaboratively with integrated care partners to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical expertise to patients with endocrine conditions, ensuring safe, timely, and well-coordinated care.
- Develop and implement effective care plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote a culture of safety, respect, and open communication.
- Participate in comprehensive training and professional development to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of clinical nursing services, ensuring evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
- Registered General Nurse with significant post-registration experience, including advanced-level practice.
- Educated to Degree level with a specialist qualification relevant to the field, such as an MSc.
- Evidence of detailed clinical knowledge and complex clinical decision-making skills.
- Prescribing experience relevant to the specialist role, such as non-medical prescribing (V300).
- Experience in developing clinical nursing services and managing leadership education and training.
This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week. As part of our commitment to reducing working hours, we will implement the 37-hour working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland, without loss of earnings. However, in some areas, implementation may take longer, and you may be required to work 37.5 hours per week until it is safe to do so.
