About the Role
NHS Scotland is seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team in the Surgical Receiving/Assessment Unit at University Hospital Crosshouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, safe, and effective care to patients under the direction of registered nursing staff.
- Work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver person-centered care.
- Assist registered nursing staff in providing care and support to patients, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and respect.
Requirements
- SVQ level 3 in healthcare or equivalent higher education qualification.
- Experience working with adults in a care setting and a genuine interest in surgical nursing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
