Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Microbiology Department as an Administrative Support Specialist. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Microbiology Management Team, Consultant Team, and other department members, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and efficient communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Microbiology Management Team and Consultant Team, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with the coordination of laboratory activities, including specimen collection, testing, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with department members, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.
  • Support the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services and efficient workflow.

Requirements

  • SVQ Level III in Business Administration or equivalent knowledge-based experience.
  • Experience in an administrative role in a healthcare setting.
  • Typing speed of 50wpm minimum.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
