Position Overview

We are pleased to announce an opportunity to become a vital member of the expanding team at the NIHR Royal Free Clinical Research Facility. This newly established role of Senior Clinical Research Associate will engage in a collaborative environment focused on advancing clinical research initiatives. Our diverse portfolio encompasses a wide array of therapeutic areas, including but not limited to oncology, respiratory health, and hepatology.

The Clinical Research Facility is a state-of-the-art clinical environment equipped with cutting-edge facilities, advanced equipment, and a team of skilled professionals dedicated to facilitating early-phase clinical research involving healthy volunteers and patients with acute, complex, and chronic conditions.

We conduct clinical trials aimed at developing innovative treatments for a variety of medical conditions.

As this is a Senior Clinical Research Associate position, prior experience in clinical research is a prerequisite.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Clinical Research Associate operates as an independent practitioner within the multidisciplinary clinical research team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating patient care for those participating in clinical trials.
  • Collecting and managing trial data.
  • Gathering and preparing biological samples.
  • Educating patients and fellow team members.

The successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of clinical trial governance and demonstrate practical skills necessary for the safe and efficient setup and execution of studies. Continuous development of specialized skills and knowledge related to their assigned portfolio will be expected. Flexibility in supporting colleagues during absences or in response to a dynamic portfolio of studies is essential.
