Overview of the Position

The UCL Eastman Dental Institute is on the lookout for a Clinical Research Associate to become a vital part of our research team, specifically focusing on the AND-PD initiative, which investigates the intricate relationship between Anxiety and Parkinson's Disease. This extensive longitudinal study has successfully enrolled a significant number of participants, with ongoing follow-up assessments.

In this role, you will engage in the analysis of data concerning potential underlying mechanisms, utilizing various scales and survey data. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping research aimed at alleviating this challenging symptom of the disease. Depending on your expertise and the resources available, your work may encompass treatment-oriented studies or mechanistic investigations. Collaborative opportunities with other research groups within the institute will also be available.

This position is ideal for individuals eager to leverage their academic background to enhance the understanding and treatment of Anxiety or other neuropsychiatric aspects associated with Parkinson's Disease. Candidates with qualifications in psychology, neuroscience, or related fields will find this role particularly fitting.

The position is currently open and is funded through grants allocated for an initial six-month period.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should possess a Master's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a comparable discipline, along with experience in clinical or patient-centered research, bioinformatics, statistical analysis, and experimental design. Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously, are essential. Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, experience in Parkinson's research, and a background in health settings would be advantageous.

Benefits

The starting salary for this position ranges from £37,000 to £39,000 per annum, inclusive of a London Allowance.
