About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Stroke Unit at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients in their hyper-acute, acute, and rehabilitation phases post-stroke.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients, applying evidence-based practice and maintaining a high standard of care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing care, escalating any clinical concerns to senior nurses as required.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records, ensuring confidentiality and real-time data collection.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and relatives on sensitive issues, promoting health education and supporting their needs.
  • Participate in the daily personal care of patients, ensuring their individualized needs are met.
About the Team

Our Stroke Unit is a 29-bedded department that offers specialized care for patients in various phases of stroke recovery. We run a 24/7 thrombolysis and stroke assessment service, and our team is committed to delivering gold-standard care. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, develop your clinical skills, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with the NMC or working towards and due to qualify in the next six months.
  • Degree/Diploma in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience of looking after patients in a healthcare environment.
