Job Overview

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Covid Vaccination Hub team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our vaccination program.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and administer Covid vaccines to patients in accordance with national guidance and Patient Group Directions.
  • Take charge of the shift and supervise the work of the clinical team, ensuring safe and effective delivery of clinical care.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records and vaccination data.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality in respect of all multidisciplinary and nursing records and inter-personal issues with colleagues.
  • Understand the signs of anaphylaxis and be familiar with current guidance regarding the management of anaphylaxis.
  • Continually update own training in line with changing guidance within the field of Covid vaccination.
  • Provide and develop good clinical practice, ensuring that practices are in accordance with Trust policy and national guidance within the Vaccine Hub.
  • Use evidence-based practice to provide quality care to patients.
  • Convey highly sensitive and confidential information to patients and relatives, including breaking bad news.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with:

  • Relevant post-registration clinical experience.
  • Completion of Covid vaccine training.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to write clearly and legibly in English.
  • Keyboard skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently.
  • Knowledge of up-to-date nursing and NHS issues.
  • Knowledge of evidence-informed and research-based practice.
  • Managerial and leadership ability.
