About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Branch Manager at Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe.

As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for supporting the Branch Manager in leading and developing a team of up to 11 sales professionals. Your primary focus will be on driving sales performance, developing strong relationships with customers, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Support the Sales Team: Act as first line support to the Branch Manager, leading and supporting the team to deliver sales success and suggest opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Product Knowledge and Sales Performance: Get to know our product lines and services to make the most of all customer interactions and drive sales performance for the branch.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop great relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions to deliver the best experience possible.
  • Market Knowledge and Sales Growth: Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth and identify opportunities to increase sales.
  • Operational Efficiency: Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organize delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.
  • Health and Safety: Lead the team to make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how to keep yourself and others safe at work.
