Product Development Director for Reserving Software Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Development Director to join our strategic leadership team for ResQ, our market-leading reserving and financial reporting software suite. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering cutting-edge product functionality and driving innovation in the reserving industry.
Key Responsibilities- Product Vision and Strategy: Collaborate with our senior leadership team to define and refine technical approaches and concepts that support our product vision, aligning with our wider business strategy.
- Requirements Definition: Create written requirements to ensure our engineering teams have a deep understanding of the business context for their work, driving the development of software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities, providing valuable insights to inform our product development roadmap.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our senior reserving consulting team globally to understand local market needs and priorities, and collaborate with other product leaders to explore opportunities for synergies and common approaches.
- Leadership and People Management: Provide leadership and guidance to our product development team, and have opportunities for people management and line management within the role.
- Actuarial Experience: Practical experience in P&C reserving, with a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges.
- Software Development Experience: Proven experience in software development or software product management, with a strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and provide clear status updates.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with product and development teams, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Business Acumen: A strong understanding of the insurance industry and its trends, with the ability to apply business acumen to drive product development and innovation.
