Position: Facilities Manager
Location: Moseley, Birmingham
Hours: full-time / part-time
Salary: £90 - £105 per day
Role Overview:
The Facilities Manager will be tasked with ensuring that the educational premises are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe and secure environment. This position involves executing routine maintenance duties, overseeing cleaning personnel, and managing the security of the facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular assessments of the premises to identify and rectify maintenance requirements.
2. Execute basic repair and upkeep tasks (e.g., plumbing, electrical work, carpentry).
3. Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning personnel to uphold cleanliness standards.
4. Manage the security of the facilities, including the locking and unlocking of buildings as necessary.
5. Respond to and handle any on-site emergencies, coordinating with emergency services when required.
6. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
7. Assist in the preparation and dismantling of school events and activities.
8. Maintain precise records of maintenance activities and safety inspections.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Prior experience in a comparable role, ideally within an educational context.
2. Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance tasks.
3. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
4. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
5. Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
