Payroll Officer
Join Harper Recruitment in a hybrid role as a Payroll Officer, where you will play a crucial part in delivering a comprehensive payroll service to our employees. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and a structured workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage payroll data processing, including variable deductions, new hires, changes, and terminations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure the payroll system reflects all personal data updates.
- Prepare documentation and respond to inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements for reporting and annual returns.
- Conduct general maintenance on the payroll system as directed by the Senior Payroll Officer.
- Handle documentation related to payroll and pension information requests.
- Produce and distribute P45 and P60 forms.
- Process overpayments and coordinate with the credit control team.
- Perform detailed payroll checks, calculations, and information processing.
- Assist with end-of-year processes to meet all statutory obligations.
- Address payroll inquiries and provide guidance on payroll regulations.
- Uphold data protection standards for all employee records, demonstrating integrity at all times.

Candidate Profile:
- 2-3 years of experience in a payroll environment.
- Strong understanding of payroll and pension legislation, including statutory payments and deductions.
- Proven administrative skills with the ability to interpret and apply payroll regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- High attention to detail, especially when working under tight deadlines.
