Job Title: Payroll Officer

James Gray Associates is seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the production of monthly and weekly payrolls using Workday, ensuring compliance with the Group's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll production using Workday, including monthly and weekly payrolls
  • Compliance with Group policies and procedures
  • Pensions Automatic Enrolment
  • Processing new hires and terminations
  • Processing absences, including SSP, SAP, SMP, SPP, and ShPP
  • Reviewing exception reporting to identify anomalies
  • Effective liaison with HR Administrators, Line Managers, Regional Finance, internal third-party Benefits Administrators, external third-party benefits providers, and HMRC
  • Answering pay and related queries from staff, HMRC, and other relevant bodies
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a high-volume payroll processing environment
  • Experience in using Workday payroll software essential
  • An understanding and experience of running healthcare payrolls
  • In-depth knowledge of PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP, SAP, etc.
  • Good working knowledge of MS products, such as Excel and Word
