Hours of work/working Flexible: 28 Hours paid per week, as and when required including Day

Pattern/Special arrangements Time/Evenings, Weekends, Sundays, Bank Holidays and School Holidays.
Flexible working from home e.g. term time only:
1. Overall purpose of the job The role of the Community Engagement Officer will cover 28 hours per week, and its primary covering weekly coffee mornings during term time supporting workshops and learning programs alongside Vision West Notts College, 1:1 Parent/Carer objectives: support, guidance and sign posting. This is an active role within delivery of our activity program working directly with our Children/Young people, supporting on activities, residentials, workshops, events, fundraising and teens club 11-18 years.

3. Key responsibilities and **Risk assessments duties**: Support with sourcing new funding bids for the future Development of
Spectrum WASP
- Monitoring bookings
- Supporting with putting together the term-to-term Newsletter throughout the year. Forward planning Activities, Workshops, Residential Breaks and Family Days out for all Children, Young People, Siblings, Parents and Carers.
- Registers for Activities, Workshops and Events
- DBS checks for Support Staff and Volunteers
- To support with social media, Website and Facebook
- Support Senior Management with Banking
- Attending Management Meetings on a monthly basis
- Support Activities in School Holidays, Evenings and Weekends.
- Support Short Breaks Manager with Wages and Payroll.
- To support disabled children/young people ensuring their safety and wellbeing in the absence/presence of Parent/s and Carer/s when out and about on Sessional Activities.
- Empower the child/young person to access play and leisure activities in their local/community area.
- To develop a positive relationship with the Child/Young person and their Parent/s and Carer/s and Significant others.
- To attend meetings with other group members.
- Support writing policies and procedures for Spectrum WASP charity and Short Breaks services.
- To attend, if required, review meetings between the Child/Young person Parent/s and Carer/s and other professional bodies.
- To undertake additional training as and when required both internal and external mandatory Online Training in accordance with our Spectrum

WASP Contract.
- To undertake other duties at the request of the Senior Management or

Management Committee so far as they are compatible with the aims and level of responsibility to the post.
- Support the Senior Management to attend meetings/presentations.
- Support the Senior Management with fundraising activities
- Support the Senior Management with creating posters and letters and other admin needs for the group.
- Support the Senior Management within the running of our Teens club occasionally.
- To be responsible for the safety, supervision and care of all children and young people and ensure the highest professional standards in all aspects of care practice, play and activities by role modelling best practice.
- To ensure that all equipment is well maintained and replaced when necessary
- To promote and market Spectrum WASP, to potential families and other agencies and work in partnership with Spectrum WASP

Management Committee.
- To contribute to monitoring, evaluating and reporting on performance by collating data and assisting with reports to evidence the outcomes for children and their families.
- To build and maintain effective relationships with internal colleagues, commissioners, health professionals and other providers.
- To ensure that all feedback, including Complaints, Compliments, and

Suggestions, is encouraged, recorded, reported and used to improve the service.
- To recognise and provide for each Child/Young person’s individual developmental needs, intellectually, emotionally and socially; through activities within the centre and community which are sensitive to the

Child/Young person’s race, culture or orientation.
- To act in a medical emergency, if necessary, in consultation with

Parent/s and Carer/s or NHS Services (only after appropriate first aid training).
