Position Overview

Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Lead Clinical Psychologist. This role is pivotal in enhancing our mental health services for children and adolescents, ensuring that we provide exceptional care and support.

Role Summary

As a Lead Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to children, young people, and their families. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our Urgent Care pathway, which is designed to address the immediate mental health needs of our service users.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is implementing innovative practices, including a new pilot program aimed at providing trauma-informed care. You will have the chance to become a fully accredited practitioner in this area, leading the way in developing effective therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

In your role, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and formulate treatment plans for children and adolescents facing complex mental health challenges.
  • Provide expert consultation and support to multidisciplinary teams, enhancing collaborative care.
  • Deliver evidence-based psychological therapies, ensuring that interventions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Supervise and mentor junior psychologists and other team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
  • Engage in service development initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of our mental health services.
