We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Specialist Learning Disability Service at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality specialist psychological assessments and interventions for children and young people with a Learning Disability and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Clinical Lead in supervising staff and trainees within the Pathway as appropriate.
- Take a leadership role in the clinical psychology service within the Specialist Learning Disability Pathway, promoting clinical governance and quality improvement.
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within professional and guidelines as a specialist within Child and Family Health Devon Service Directorate.
- Receive regular professional and clinical supervision in accordance with Trust policy and Professional Practice Guidelines set out by the Health Professions Council / British Psychological Society or appropriate designated Professional Body.
- Qualified Clinical Psychologist (D.Clin.Psychol. or equivalent), eligible for Chartered Clinical Psychologist Status in the British Psychological Society.
- HCPC registration.
- Experience in the use of assessment tools such as Vineland 3, Wisc, Wais.
- Car Driver.
- Further training in Psychology Interventions.
- Experience and knowledge of working with young people with a Learning Disability.
- Advanced psychological assessment and formulation skills including risk assessment.
- Partnership working experience.
