We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Specialist Learning Disability Service at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality specialist psychological assessments and interventions for children and young people with a Learning Disability and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Support Clinical leadership and contribute to the systemic provision of a high-quality specialist Clinical Psychology service as part of the Specialist Learning Disability Service.
- Provide direct specialist psychological assessments and interventions for children and young people with a Learning Disability and families.
- Contribute to quality improvement and service development.
We are looking for a qualified Clinical Psychologist with a strong background in working with children and young people with a Learning Disability. The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Clinical Psychologist status in the British Psychological Society.
- Broad knowledge of psychological services and of the services in the NHS where psychology is applied to the mental health needs of children and young people with a Learning Disability.
- Experience in the use of assessment tools such as Vineland 3, Wisc, Wais.
- Car driver.
We would welcome applications from candidates with further training in Psychology Interventions, experience and knowledge of working with young people with a Learning Disability, advanced psychological assessment and formulation skills including risk assessment, and partnership working experience.
