Job Summary:
EFBQ is seeking an experienced Assistant Director to lead the operational day-to-day services of our Waste Management Team. This is a fast-paced role that requires someone with extensive experience and a proven track record in large scale waste management operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operational management of the waste services, ensuring high operational standards are maintained in a fast-moving and specialized field.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, ensuring that operations align with organizational priorities and policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve waste management operations, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
- Lead a dedicated and motivated management team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including politicians, employees, and community groups.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing large waste management operations, with a strong track record of success.
- Experience of working in a highly unionized environment, proactively addressing employee relations and industrial relations matters to achieve positive outcomes.
- Commitment to maintaining high operational standards, with a focus on customer satisfaction and community engagement.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
