Wood is seeking a Lead Civil Structural Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis and design of steel and concrete structures in accordance with various international and company-specific codes and standards.
  • Design structure and equipment foundations to withstand both static and dynamic loads.
  • Utilize engineering software such as STAAD.Pro, Foundation 3D, and Matt 3D for structural analysis and design.
  • Prepare Basis of Design documents, Material Specifications, Material take-offs, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, and ensure inter-discipline design coordination.
  • Competently prepare design calculations for seismic design, extreme wind loads, and develop design sketches for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with Designers to create CAD drawings using tools like Microstation, Smartplant 3D, AutoCAD, PDMS, and PDS.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to meet their requirements and assist in the preparation of structural and foundation drawings.
  • Provide technical support to team members and contribute to the development of a lessons learned database.
  • Maintain a positive safety culture in all aspects of work, both in design and office environments.

Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree in a relevant field.
  • Chartered Engineer status is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience and understanding of UK national and international codes and standards.
