**Job Summary**

Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Civil Structural Designer to join our team in the UK. This is an 11-month contract with a high likelihood of extension, supporting a major FEED/EPC Onshore Energy Sector project.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in civil and structural design for onshore energy sector projects.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams, including workshare execution, to deliver high-quality design solutions.
  • Develop and implement design strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and mitigate design risks.
  • Manage and maintain CAD design tools, including Bentley MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  • Develop and deliver 3D visualization and modeling solutions using SmartReview and Navisworks.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in civil and structural design.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum HNC or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience as a Principal Civil/Structural Designer in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Pharmaceutical, or Civil Infrastructure industry.
  • Experience in running multi-disciplinary teams and executing projects in the Middle East with National Oil Companies.
  • High level of proficiency in CAD design, 3D visualization, and project management.
  • Good communication and IT skills.
