Job Summary:

New Appointments Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Purchasing department, you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement of goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing and Procurement: Coordinate the purchase of products, materials, and services required to fulfill sales orders on time, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality products.
  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers through regular communication, negotiation, and issue resolution.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels, schedule deliveries to maximize production efficiency, and ensure accurate records of purchases, suppliers, and deliveries.
  • Quality Control: Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Purchasing Manager and team, including data entry, reporting, and other tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Benefits: 21 days holiday rising to 26 days with service, plus bank holidays, medicash, parking, and pension.
