Service Lead Nurse, IPC

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Lead Nurse to join our Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our IPC service, working closely with our clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate the development of our IPC service, ensuring compliance with national guidelines and best practices.
- Provide clinical and managerial leadership to our IPC team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with our clinical teams to identify and implement evidence-based interventions to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with our stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our IPC strategy, ensuring alignment with our Trust's vision and values.
- Significant post-registration experience in infection prevention within an acute Trust.
- Clinical experience within acute healthcare, with the ability to relate that experience to support staff in practice.
- Experience of professional leadership, including training and facilitating staff and practice development.
- Implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Evidence of regional or national working within the specialist field of practice.
- Development and use of governance frameworks and structures to minimize risk and improve patient safety.
