Overview of the Role

The Case Management Team is dedicated to representing Coventry Children's Services in matters related to child care and adoption. In this role, you will engage with sensitive and impactful cases, contributing to the welfare of children within our community.

We are looking for a childcare solicitor to become a vital part of our Case Management legal team. Your responsibilities will include managing a diverse range of childcare cases and providing legal counsel on all facets of Child Protection and Safeguarding law. You will collaborate with a supportive team that specializes in public law childcare and adoption proceedings, ensuring high-quality legal services while navigating a caseload of public law children's cases through the judicial system.

While a team of in-house advocates is available for more intricate hearings, some advocacy duties may also be part of your role. You will receive ongoing supervision and training, along with legal officer support to assist in case management. Your primary focus will be on managing cases during care proceedings, as well as handling pre-proceeding matters under the Public Law Outline (PLO).
