Role Overview:

The Case Management Team serves as the legal representation for Coventry Children's Services in matters of child care and adoption. In this vital role, you will engage with some of the most delicate and impactful cases, aiding Coventry Children's Services in securing optimal outcomes for the children in our community.

We are in search of a childcare lawyer to become a part of our Case Management legal team. In this capacity, you will oversee a diverse range of childcare cases and provide guidance on all facets of Child Protection and Safeguarding legislation. You will collaborate within a supportive and collegial team that manages public law childcare and adoption proceedings on behalf of Coventry Children's Services, delivering high-quality legal services while navigating a caseload of public law children's cases through the judicial process.

A dedicated team of in-house advocates is available for more intricate hearings, although some advocacy duties may also be required. This position will be backed by ongoing supervision and training, and you will receive support from legal officers to assist in managing your cases. Your primary responsibility will involve overseeing cases during care proceedings, as well as handling matters during the pre-proceeding phase of the Public Law Outline (PLO).
