We are seeking an Event Coordination Assistant to provide maternity cover within our Producing & Event Management division on a full-time, fixed-term basis.

The Event Management division oversees a variety of events across diverse artistic disciplines and public programming initiatives, typically scheduled three months in advance. This role is essential for the planning, organization, execution, and evaluation of assigned events across all artistic forms.

Most of the artistic events at Southbank Centre occur from Wednesday to Sunday, and the successful candidate should anticipate working regular evenings and approximately three weekends out of five.

Key Responsibilities

To deliver efficient and proactive administrative support and event execution; facilitating a range of innovative and engaging artistic events in non-traditional venues, in collaboration with the Producing and Programming teams to successfully implement the Southbank Centre's artistic agenda to an international standard. Collaborate with Programmers, Producers, and Event Managers to provide administrative, logistical, and delivery assistance for the Event Management division on designated events and festivals, ensuring the successful execution of a varied and dynamic event and festival schedule. To effectively communicate the operational requirements of assigned events to all relevant internal departments through the proficient use of Artifax, Southbank Centre's venue management system, and established operational protocols. To offer courteous and efficient support to all stakeholders involved with the Event Management and Producing division, including colleagues, artists, creative professionals, partner organizations, and the public.
