Community Physiotherapy Specialist - Band 6

Team: City Community Team

Employment Type: Permanent

Are you dedicated to the field of Physiotherapy and committed to delivering healthcare services in the comfort of patients' homes?

Do you possess the drive to positively impact individuals' lives? Are you eager to grow and enhance your skills within a fulfilling Community Physiotherapy position?

The City Community Team is seeking a motivated Physiotherapist to provide exceptional care to patients in a community environment. Wiltshire Health and Care is focused on fostering community-specific training and offers a supportive atmosphere for skill development.

You will be tasked with delivering expert therapy services to residents in our designated area, promoting overall health, mitigating the impacts of illness and disability, and maximizing individual independence. Collaboration with General Practices, Social Services, and various other organizations is essential to address the needs of the local community, making strong communication skills vital for this role.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will advocate for integrated community care. You will be a collaborative team member, an effective communicator, and someone who is adaptable, dedicated, organized, and capable of performing well under pressure. You will assist in the development, execution, and maintenance of high-quality, safe, and sustainable clinical and operational leadership under the guidance of team leaders and clinical leads. The therapy team is expected to manage both planned and urgent assessments and treatments in occupational therapy and physiotherapy, as well as support the Home First and discharge-to-assess pathways. Participation in weekend therapy rotations will also be necessary.

Given the extensive geographical area we cover, having access to a vehicle for patient visits is crucial. Our team operates on a 7-day shift pattern, and it is essential that you can drive and have access to a car.

You will become part of a friendly and supportive environment that embodies our values of Quality, Integrity, Partnership, and Change, developed in collaboration with our staff, patients, and caregivers.
