Position Overview: Non-interventional Cardiology Consultant
We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Cardiology to enhance our healthcare services. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality non-invasive Cardiology care to our patients.
As a Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert non-interventional Cardiology services, focusing on areas such as Cardiac Imaging, Inherited Cardiac Conditions, and Heart Failure management.
- Engaging in General Cardiology practices, both in inpatient settings and outpatient clinics.
- Overseeing the care of patients in the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) and the Cardiology Investigation Unit (CIU).
- Conducting outpatient consultations and participating in catheterization laboratory sessions.
- Contributing to weekend ward rounds to ensure comprehensive patient care.
To qualify for this role, candidates must be registered with the GMC Specialist Register or be within six months of obtaining their CCT at the time of the interview. We encourage applications from individuals interested in flexible working arrangements.
Ideal candidates will possess contemporary experience in managing both general and acute Cardiology cases. Proficiency in Cardiac imaging, Arrhythmia management, and knowledge of Inherited Cardiac Conditions and devices is essential. Additional qualifications such as a higher degree and experience in teaching or clinical audits are highly regarded.
