About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Time and Recovery (STaR) worker to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a STaR worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with mental health challenges in Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide recovery-focused interventions to address complex care needs for children and young people receiving therapy.
  • Work collaboratively with families and the network to develop daily activities promoting social inclusion and supporting organisational commitment.
  • Support young people and families in receipt of CAMH Services by delivering personally defined recovery care planned interventions, promoting citizenship and supporting connectivity and empowerment.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team of CAMHS professionals to provide targeted recovery-focused interventions as identified and care planned by the allocated lead clinician.

Person Specification
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and skills acquired through experience OR equivalent levels of experience or training working in a health or social care setting.
  • Experience of working with people with mental health needs in a paid or voluntary capacity.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Experience of being supervised.
  • Experience of analysing and communicating complex information verbally and in writing.
  • Experience of working in community settings.
