KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Communications

  • Oversee communications and branding needs from associated donors and participants in the LEARN initiative;
  • Develop and/or update the communication and visibility strategy for LEARN projects;
  • Lead the creation and/or revision of communication materials for LEARN initiatives, including visual content, narratives, and social media posts;
  • Review communication-related terms of reference for LEARN projects as necessary;
  • Provide communication contributions from LEARN projects for the Country Office's platforms (website, social media, newsletters, local media, etc.) for reporting and resource gathering;
  • Capture photos and videos of significant LEARN program events as needed;
  • Gather content (interviews, visuals, stories) and draft communication materials when required;
  • Collaborate with LEARN project teams in planning, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and reporting on communication and campaign efforts;
  • Work alongside the REALM project officer to document and share project evidence and best practices to support advocacy plans and project outcomes;
  • Maintain and foster relationships with relevant stakeholders regarding communication products such as case studies and multimedia;
  • Ensure visibility of Save the Children in all communications related to the LEARN Program;
  • Assist with the Country Office's communication tasks and initiatives as needed.

Marketing

  • In partnership with the NBD team, develop marketing materials that effectively convey the impact and successes of Save the Children's programs to a broad audience, including donors and stakeholders;
  • Support fundraising efforts as requested by stakeholders through the creation of engaging marketing content and campaigns;
  • Utilize diverse marketing channels, including digital platforms, to enhance the reach and visibility of the Country Office's initiatives;
  • Assess and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and modify strategies as necessary to improve results;
  • Ensure compliance of all marketing activities with Save the Children's policies and branding standards, as well as donor and governmental regulations.

Media Engagement

  • Actively engage local media to elevate Save the Children's public profile and disseminate messages that resonate with the general public, partners, and beneficiaries;
  • Assist in reviewing (and developing if necessary) media engagement materials, including press kits and information sheets;
  • Lead media field visits for the LEARN program as assigned;
  • Ensure all media content complies with Save the Children's procedures and relevant Vietnamese laws.

Capacity Building

  • Enhance the skills of project staff and partners within the LEARN program to comprehend advocacy, campaign, and communication strategies and requirements.

The responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties within the scope of their skills and experience, including support for Country Office communications and advocacy.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related fields.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing marketing and communication strategies;
  • Experience in digital marketing and content creation;
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus;
  • Experience in international or multicultural settings.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Vietnamese and English;
  • Ability to craft compelling content for various platforms, including case studies, social media, and press releases;
  • Creative and innovative mindset for developing unique marketing campaigns;
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and other digital marketing tools;
  • Familiarity with newsletter platforms and marketing automation tools;
  • Proficiency in graphic design software and video editing tools;
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management and the ability to work under pressure;
  • Willingness to travel frequently to remote locations and work effectively in a distributed team environment;
  • Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values, and principles, including child rights-based approaches.
