KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Communications

  • Oversee communications and branding requirements from associated donors and stakeholders within the LEARN initiative;
  • Develop and/or update the communication and visibility strategy for LEARN projects;
  • Lead the creation and/or enhancement of communication materials for LEARN initiatives, including photography, videography, success stories, and social media content;
  • Review communication-related Terms of Reference for LEARN projects as necessary;
  • Provide communication contributions from LEARN projects for the Country Office's platforms (website, social media, newsletters, local media, etc.) and for reporting and resource collection;
  • Capture photos and videos of significant events related to the LEARN program as needed;
  • Gather inputs (interviews, visuals, narratives) and draft content for communication materials when required;
  • Collaborate with LEARN project teams in planning, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and reporting on communication and campaign efforts;
  • Work alongside the REALM project officer to document and communicate project evidence and best practices to support and inform the advocacy plan and achieve project outcomes at scale;
  • Maintain and foster relationships with relevant stakeholders regarding communication products such as success stories, images, and video clips;
  • Ensure the visibility of Save the Children in all communications related to the LEARN Program;
  • Assist with the Country Office's communication tasks and activities as required.

Marketing

  • In partnership with the NBD team, develop marketing materials that effectively convey the impact and successes of Save the Children's programs to a broad audience, including donors, stakeholders, and the public;
  • Support fundraising efforts as requested by stakeholders through the creation of engaging marketing content and campaigns;
  • Utilize diverse marketing channels, including digital platforms, to enhance the reach and visibility of the Country Office's initiatives;
  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and modify strategies as necessary to optimize results;
  • Ensure compliance of all marketing activities with Save the Children's policies and branding guidelines, as well as donor and governmental regulations.

Media Engagement

  • Actively engage local media to elevate Save the Children's public profile and disseminate messages that can effectively communicate relevant information and gain acceptance from the public, partners, and beneficiaries;
  • Assist in reviewing (and developing if necessary) media engagement materials, including media kits, press releases, and information sheets;
  • Lead media field visits related to the LEARN program as assigned;
  • Ensure all media content receives the necessary approvals in accordance with Save the Children's procedures and relevant Vietnamese laws.

Capacity Building

  • Enhance the capabilities of project staff and partners within the LEARN program to understand advocacy, campaign, and communication strategies, tools, and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related fields.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing marketing and communication strategies.
  • Experience in digital marketing and content creation.
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector is advantageous.
  • Experience in international or multicultural settings.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.
  • Ability to create engaging content for various channels, including case studies, social media, websites, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Creativity and innovative thinking to design unique marketing campaigns and content.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and other digital marketing tools.
  • Familiarity with newsletter platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, GetResponse) and marketing automation tools.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing tools.
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to remote locations and work effectively in a distributed team environment.
  • Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values, and principles, including child rights-based approaches.
