Job Description

Overview:

  • We are seeking highly motivated and resilient Support Workers to join our team at Holistic Support Services, providing care and support to vulnerable children in a residential setting.
  • A Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Children's Residential is desirable but not essential. We welcome candidates with experience in residential care, but it is not a requirement.
  • We offer a range of full-time and part-time hours, including bank shifts, and competitive rates of pay, including £60.00 per night for sleep-in duties.
  • A driving license is advantageous but not essential for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take on a leadership role on shift, setting a positive example and leading by example.
  • Delegate tasks fairly among staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient working environment.
  • Provide training and support to new members of staff, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Participate in an on-call rota, responding to out-of-hours calls and providing support as needed.
  • Ensure that daily reports, health and safety checks, and care plans are completed and up to date.
  • Support the adults in our care, ensuring their needs are met and their well-being is prioritized.
  • Assist with supervisions and appraisals, providing constructive feedback and supporting staff development.
