Senior Residential Child Care Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Residential Child Care Worker to join our team at Exceptional Care. As a key member of our residential team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Conduct supervisions and update on progress or difficulties in relation to staff or young people, advising management on any necessary interventions.
- Act as a key worker for specified young people, taking responsibility for their care and support, including ensuring all medical needs are met.
- Provide advice, assistance, and support to young people with challenging behavior, EBD, and learning/behavioral difficulties, attending to their practical, physical, and emotional needs.
- Assist in ensuring that each young person has their needs met through effective assessment and care planning.
- Review and monitor care plans, contributing to review reports as directed.
- Liaise with other agencies and professionals as necessary, in conjunction with management.
- Record information about young people and ensure communication with staff members is effective.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
- 2 years' experience supporting young people in a children's residential setting.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence (preferred).
