About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Psychodynamic Psychotherapist to join our dynamic team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our adult mental health service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychodynamic assessments and interventions to patients with complex mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychodynamic assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy interventions to patients, including those with severe mental health difficulties and high levels of risk.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and decision-making.
  • Offer consultation and supervision to colleagues, including trainee clinical or counselling psychologists.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's level training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, with registration with UKCP, BPC, or BACP.
  • Experience of working with high levels of risk and severe mental health difficulties.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of complex clinical reports and assessments.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to professional ethics and Trust policies.
