We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate mental health professional to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a clinical psychologist, counselling psychologist, or psychotherapist, you will have the opportunity to work with cancer patients and staff groups in a supportive and innovative environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological input to patients referred to Cancer Psychological Therapies, including individual, family, and group input. Additionally, they will provide Level 2 Clinical Discussion Groups for Cancer Nurse Specialists and contribute to delivering Level 2 training across the region.

We welcome applications from pre-registration psychologists who are expecting to receive their qualification within 6 months of starting their role with us.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide specialist psychological input to patients referred to Cancer Psychological Therapies.
  2. Provide Level 2 Clinical Discussion Groups for Cancer Nurse Specialists.
  3. Contribute to delivering Level 2 training across the region.
  4. Offer staff support and consultation to members of the wider oncology, haematology, and palliative care teams.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in clinical psychology, counselling psychology, or psychotherapy.
  • Experience working with cancer patients and staff groups.
  • Ability to work in a supportive and innovative environment.
