Job Opportunity: Internal Sales Timber Products

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Sales Timber Products professional to join our team at Mitchell Maguire. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling a comprehensive range of timber products to housing developers, subcontractors, and merchants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Selling a diverse range of timber products, including carcassing timber, pallet and packaging material timber, Canadian lumber, machined whitewoods, saw milling, block wood, kiln dried decking, and fencing timber.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, including housing developers, subcontractors, and merchants such as MKM and Jewsons.
  • Responding to inbound enquiries via email and telephone, and conducting cold calling and new business development activities.
  • Liaising with the production department to ensure all sales requirements are met, and achieving targeted outbound call numbers per day.

Requirements

  • Proven sales experience within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of timber products and their applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Confidence in making outbound sales calls and business development activities, with a strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure.
  • IT and PC literacy, with competence in MS Office and other relevant software.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with good communication skills both verbally and in writing.
