Job Title: Internal Sales Timber Products

Office Location: Troon

Remuneration: £25,000 - £28,000

Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits Package

Job Summary:

The role of the Internal Sales Timber Products will involve:

  • Internal sales position, selling a comprehensive range of carcassing timber, pallet and packaging material timber, Canadian lumber, machined whitewoods, saw milling, block wood, kiln dried decking, and fencing timber.
  • Predominantly selling to construction companies, subcontractors, and merchants such as building material suppliers.
  • Building relationships and managing an existing portfolio of clients.
  • Dealing with customer inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
  • Conducting business development and new sales opportunities.
  • Liaising with the production department to ensure all sales requirements are met.
  • Targeted on meeting sales targets and exceeding performance expectations.

Requirements:

  • Sales experience within the construction industry.
  • Confidence in making outbound sales calls and business development.
  • Experience with timber products is highly advantageous but not essential.
  • Consideration for more junior candidates with the correct attitude.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines when required.
  • Confidence on the phone, providing good customer service.
  • A team player with a positive outlook.
  • IT & PC literate and a competent MS Office user.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
