We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as an Internal Sales Timber Products Executive.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling a comprehensive range of timber products to housing developers, subcontractors, and merchants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Selling timber products, including carcassing timber, pallet and packaging material timber, Canadian lumber, machined whitewoods, saw milling, block wood, kiln dried decking, and fencing timber.
  • Building relationships with existing clients and managing a portfolio of accounts.
  • Responding to inbound enquiries via email and telephone.
  • Conducting cold calling and new business development.
  • Liaising with the production department to ensure all sales requirements are met.
  • Meeting targeted outbound call numbers.

Requirements

  • Proven sales experience within the construction industry.
  • Confidence in making outbound sales calls and business development.
  • Experience with timber products is highly advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • IT and PC literate with competence in MS Office.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
