Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Leaving Care Solutions. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, welcoming, and healthy environment for young people in our care.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing responsive, customized, and quality support to young people placed in their individual flat or shared house. This will involve working in line with person-centered risk assessments, support plans, and liaising with support workers to provide a full handover.
Key Responsibilities:- Observe any change in behavior, ensuring appropriate actions are documented and report changes in support needs of any young person.
- Maintain positive working relationships with young people, staff, and professionals by communicating effectively at all times.
- Ensure continuous support is provided to young people at the standards of day staff, with particular focus on the safety of vulnerable people.
- Liaise with external agencies, such as police and Emergency Duty Team (EDT).
- Support young people who need to attend the hospital or police station.
- Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable.
- Flexibility in availability, as the role will include weekend work.
- Hold Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or be willing to study towards this.
- Be willing to travel, with a full driving license and access to a vehicle required.
