Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for young people in our care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement personalized support plans, promoting independence and self-confidence in our young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide responsive and customized support to young people, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement support plans, promoting independence and self-confidence in our young people.
  • Observe and report any changes in behavior, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to support the young person.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with young people, staff, and external agencies, communicating effectively at all times.
  • Ensure continuous support is provided to young people, adhering to our high standards of care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable.
  • Flexibility in availability, including weekend work.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Residential Childcare or a related field, or be willing to study towards this.
  • Be willing to travel, with a full driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent computer skills.
